Damon Harper (avec mask)

Damon is a third year ('95-'96) student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His main scholastic passion is language and linguistics, and he is working towards a major in linguistics, with a minor in procrastination if he gets around to it. He has many addictions, among them IRC on the 'net, where he is known as Kalaleq, the Magic: The Gathering card game, ectophilic music (starting with Kate Bush), reading and writing (mainly science phantasy), and the word 'thingy', whose many variations he tries to use daily, and in place of any word class (noun, verb, adjective, thing, whoozis, wossname, etc.). Damon is one of those Canajans who like to scribble maple leaves in the margins of all their books . . . or at least one of those Canajans who like to say that this is what they do. Well, he could go into his personal philosophies and beliefs here, but that would probably get boring and long-winded.

Damon Harper (sans mask)

. . . In any case the preceeding is what he tells people. Actually, Damon is a member of a vaguely humanoid race from Procyon, collecting data on humanity for inclusion in his species' records. He gravitates towards the 'net because it is the one thing on this world that reminds him of the interlinked consciousness of his homeworld. He has not revealed his true nature before, but feels comfortable enough among ectophiles, who, after all, presumably at least tolerate the strange creatures on the fronts of many of Happy's albums, to divulge for the first time his true nature, and make available this picture of himself as he appears when not wearing the mask he generally wears among the human population. His race's long-range plans for Earth include the eradication of war and strife among its peoples, and the introduction of sensible leaders to replace those currently in power.

. . . you decide.
